I've listened trough both of their albums and I got to say that Kanye's album is something that you can listen on-and-on without skiping a track here and there. 50 Cent's album on the other hand has only few tracks that are really worth listening.

Also when you compare the singles that two of them have released to promote their albums - Kanye has been stronger in that as well. Not only have it managed to get the hip-hop heads attention, it has also got the attention of the mainstream public.

You know im a big fan of 50 AND kanye and i bought both as soon as they came out, and i from what i heard 50 has 2 or 3 good songs (other then the 6 everyone knows amusement park, fully loaded clip, ayo technology, straight to the bank, i get money, and follow my lead) and then he has that garbage one with nicole whatshername from PCD

Kanye on the other hand has a lot of good songs, not so nearly as addicting but better listening music and i really feel what kanye has to say lyric wise cause all 50 does is say "AYO MAN I GOT POPPED 9 TIMES AND I F**K HOES AND I SELL DRUGS" i mean get real people it gets overdone by too many people

If he is telling the truth Master P says he sold out over and over again by selling directly through Walmart and if that is true for washed out rapper and his son then it's double true for Paps, and I.T. but on a brighter note I they negotiate a contract with a large label after having a large fan base then they have to make a hell of alot more and get alot more creative freedom. That comes from doing your work first. That's why 50 and Kanye, Paul Wall and Em all came in with there own styles and made high dollar from the beginning. They was already buzzing.

I was hoping an artist like Papoose could make ghis own way withouthaving to sign a large deal with one of the established labels. Guys like him and Immortal Technique have enough fan base that they can produce package and market straight to the people. They mat not sell 5 mill, but when you sell 5 mill and only make a small amount per unit moved you do just as good selling 500,000 financially speaking.

In my opinion I think fiddy used Kanye recipe for sucess but did it way better this album. I love Kanye play on words as well and his production ability but when you think about it he doesn't have songs you can remember except golddigger.
but Neither of them really is good enough for me. I prefer Dipset and Naz, Common, and Talib Kweli and mos def, personally. The emcees that's keeping it real.

but to Neza I'm listening to the two albums and really 50 is better. He has more content in this one then in the last album and Kanye isn't doing it for me. Kanye is for easy listening when your home alone at night, but Fiddy is bumping. You should go get the two and you will see. Kanye fans have to admit 50 has a better album.

Poo, I would not make that judgement yet. Right now I think we see 50 fans(that don't like Kanye) going for 50's CD and Kanye's fans(who don't like 50) going for Kanye's CD. The two styles don't mix so it's hard or me to tell just by comments from fans of each artist. What I would like to see is a review by a fan of both artists who is impartial and say which rapper has the better CD. Right now in the reviews on Amazon Kanye is killing 50, but that probably doesn't mean much from what I said earlier.

Any fans of both rappers out there that can decide which is the better CD?

Here's where 50 messed up, he said "if his album don't out sale Kanye in the first week he'd retire." What he should of said if his album don't out sale Kanye's he'd retire. Because fiddy will out sale Kanye but not in this first week. Kanye's album sounds good at first but later dwindles, it's the hooks that get you, but 50's doesn't sound as good at first then rapidly grows on you. So in the interum between these albums 50 will go on to out sale based on the whole of the album. I see why he's so sure of its sucesss, it's really a well produced album with lots of goodies. Way better than that last bull$h!t.

I hope now that you've listened to both albums now you know who's the best. The final analysis is that Kanye has a good album but 50 has a great album. He has giving us everything we want on one album and it good to the bone. On the other hand Kanye has a couple of good songs but it's not enough to go toe to toe with 50's that's why he moved his date to 50's release to get the hype started and you fell for it.

I have both albums in the car changer but i can't switch from 5o's album. If i was at the crib wishin life was better i would put in kanye's album. 5o said it best "my momma made a baby boy the hood made a Man". I like kanye but it does't seem like his voice goes with his beats on this album. His presence isn't strong enough for the beats. Support Kanye but this album is NOT A CLASSIC. You'll forget about the album after a month. But you'll here songs from 50's album for a while.

Access Hollywood reports that Kanye West will perform at this Sunday's (Sept. 16) Emmy Awards in a spoof of music competition shows with "The Office" star Rainn Wilson.

Representatives for both parties refused to give further details on the scheduled performance.

In other Kanye West news, Billboard is reporting that Kanye West sold over 430,000 copies of his new album "Graduation" during its first day in stores. His sales rival 50 Cent moved just over 300,000 copies.

I never liked him from the jump, but I always give artists a fresh chance with new music to see if they have grown. 50 never did IMO. He does have two songs I kinda dig (Hate It Or Love It and Many Men.) True rap is still growing but is money more important then content, is style and image more important then the music itself. Read back through what most of the people who have posted have said about why they like or don't like either artist, most of it had little to do with the music.

I must say this, 50 do not have the power to single handedly foul up hiphop. True he's washing up, but you have to give him props for his stay. He did have songs like in the club that made him a classic, but where he messed up was that he called out jarule for lollipop rapping then he himself did it. The other thing is he tried to launch his self off Tupac fame like Ja rule did. Rap is still growing and will be here for years to come but fiddy made right under jayz last year and now with the sale of his vitamin water he may out rank him this year, with that said I predict this is his last good year and Kanye still has many in him. I give credit where it is due but fiddy used to be good his mixtape joints created a buzz that got him on Dre's label that was a feat in itself. I know you never liked him so you never gave his music a chance where as I've giving Kanye a chance and admire what he do.

I admire him to a small extent because of his creativity but what I don't like is his Cockiness and that he thinks he's teaching me something, but he can't he don't know enough yet. Im not pro either fa real, but I do think Kanye has more talent and depth then 50. I never liked 50 since the first time I heard him on a mixtape back in the late 90's and thought top myself, dudes lik ethsi will ruin Hip Hop, he has mediocre talent and is fishing for a gimmick that will sell on a mass appeal level(gangstarr, remember that.) Neither Kanye or 50 can compare to KRS, Chuck D or Prof X I was just giving you some background on the different types of Hip Hop I was coming from aside from gangsta rap.

Rylee, that was right on time and solidifies my point about this being more of a gimmick/image/personality battle and nothing about the music.

Yeah 50 grew up n the hood but he is out and has been out for years, yet still rapping about it like he was on the block at 2 am trying to move that last package on check day. To me that is the equivalent of Michael Jorda saying he is still the best basketball player in the world right now. You are right about Kanye though as far as him being a b*tch and a punk, but that takes nothing away from his musical ability and his creativity.

As of right now Kanye has outsold 50 on the 1st day by more then 100,000 units. Hopefully he will retire and start promoting more conscious rap that enlightens the masses to the society where thr rich just get richer and the rest argue over who is the fakest rapper on their cell phonew hile they look for spare change in ash tray so they fill the tank of their truck up.

Ok fa real I have been around Hip Hop since the mid 80's . Right now I am not understanding how people are pitting this battle on a level of image , money and album sales and not actual artist ability and content. I have not seen one post of a hot line or verse from any of the posters yet I see how people say there lyrics are tight and flows are good. When you make statements like that you have to back them up to validate them. If you don't your just shooting in the dark and justifying only those that already agree with your point.

And on the other side if one outsells the other does that make him better, No. There style are two different all that means is that one has more people feelng hus style then the other. Hip Hop is becoming fascist with BS like this.

Someone posted that hip hop is Dying, but that is simply not true. It's forming new and more dynamic styles and some are good and some is trash. Some hater called out soulja boy and said this is a example of failed hip hop but to the contrary listen to his story how he branded his self and produce his own stuff from his computer and gained a hugh fan base.
I like his efforts and this kid will establish himself in hiphop. I'm not a fan of southern rap since I'm a Bronx NewYorker but this kid is fire. I wish people do research before posting.
BTW hiphop had 6 number one hits albums in the top ten last year, so it's hardly failing and now we got fallout boys and other white groups rapping so how is it that hiphop is dying. Even the media has it wrong.

Take the VMA awards for example... Bought both the CD's yesterday and have to say I am disapointed, Kanye's 1st was way better, its not half as good now. 50 put out just what I expected.. Im a huge fan of Eminem so I wish he would have had him on it a little more.. But I love the artisits he included in it, Dr Dre, Timberland, JT.. Its a pretty good Album.. Wondering what other people think?

I don't get it, I've saw some dumb things said for both sides, but keep it real or do some research. Kanye, who I don't like has a unique flow and a creative style, be it metro. 50 has a gansta/love song style. which I am bais to. Both are good in their catagories but this is marketing, yet you can't sleep on these guys. If everyone rapped the same way with the same style we would not listen to it at all. Irregardless of this being a huge and over-publised debate between two hip hop heavy hitters, this is definately going to be a very interesting thing to keep track of. Although I got love for both artists, Ksnye's insane, almost unbelievable lyrical style, and 50's incredible ability to pump out those mostrous hits and club bangers, I am still on the fence with this one.

50 Cent is dumb. He could've just said that he's a better artist than Kanye and leave it at that. But instead he risked his entire rap career for a couple record sales. That was brilliant. But even if 50 cent does manage to beat Kanye, he probably wont have many more albums coming out anyway. 50 was a good rapper, but he's becoming old news. Kanye will probably have somewhere around 100,000 records sold in a capella but 50 cent will be lucky to get ten. Everyone knows that 50's songs have good beats but his lyrics all say the same thing: sex, drugs, money, and guns. How many times can u possibly hear the same words reworked into different tunes with different music. Kanye actually has originality. So 50 will probably outsell kanye because the streets love him, but it won't matter anyway. Kanye couldn't care less. Hasn't anyone noticed that while 50 was running his mouth about how much more money he had, Kanye didn't even say anything in response. When people finally get bored of listening to how much money someone else has they'll stop buying 50's albums, but Kanye will always have something to talk about.

I think that this contest was stupid. If you're judging based on vocals I can give it to Kanye but the fashion aspect is stupid. To be really hip hop you have to dress the part. Kanye looks like he's applying at Abercrombie and Fitch. That's not hip hop. If you're talking about pushing units, well how many albums did 50 sell on his last album. Something like 11 million. Kanye has no street credit and isn't raw enough to be compared to 50 cent unless you're making him pop.

This is entire thing is a complicated dispute. I personally feel that kanye west is a slightly better lyricist then 50 cent. His lyrics seem to incorporate more book smarts and intelligence. 50 cent tends to involving more street smarts and hood activity. Though I like both artists I prefer 50 cent over kanye west. 50 cent has a much more respected image in my mind. He is more modest and not as much of a hothead. Kanye seems to go nuts every time he is on tv. He feels that he has to voice his opinion and this makes me feel that he is not confortable with what people think about him. 50 cent rose from a life of poverty to become a successful artist. I believe that anyone who sees the "get rich or die trying" movie will have respect for 50 cent. On 9-11-07 I will be the one buying both cd's, but I want 50 cent to out sell kanye .

I think both artist are great entrepenuers in the music industry. The background of almost dying has sky rocketed after the Tupac took the world by storm during his days of reign, but these are artist are in two different categories in Hip Hop. 50 caters to the ruff rugged population of the industry from teens to adults. His music is quite catchy. I just think that at this point he is a rich man selling records and boasting about it at the same time. Sure he can make that proposition cause he bathing in money, he dont want for anything at this point. A true gangster if you ask me cause he sold drugs to get to where he is today. Typical in this type of industry. However, Kanye is a horse of a different color. A true Hip Hop Icon if you ask me. Conscious and making history at the same time. His followers are about change and could care less about what 50 got to say. Common, the Roots, Jay Z, Talib Kweli, etc all follow the path of poets all will be forever be remembered in this music industry. So the conscious followers got Kanye's back no doubt. Truly they believe in buying the real copy of cd's to support the artist. 50's followers download shyt for bootleg purposes.

I rooting for Kanye. 50 wont be happy until he end up like another statistic in order to be remembered. Kanye is making his presence known now. Although he wasnt always so consious, the right artist took a hold and lead him in the right path. This should be close and both albums should do well. Both artists are great business strategists and publicists. 50 cent tends to like creating his own publicity through artist wars etc... as he has here by creating this issue. Kanye West in my opinion has the better single out which may help boost his sales and has taken the approach of not caring whether his album outsells 50 cents album, this humble approach may look more appealing to music fans across the globe. In either case it will be a good day for the music industry. I personnaly like 50's past Albums have been very strong but based on the singles for these albums i'd have to say that Kanye seems to be getting "Stronger"

To add, I think this is a match made in heaven or Hell u decide. I mean look at it this way, you've got the guy that crawled out of deaths grips, manage to impress Eminem and Dre, and go Diamond on his first album. I'm not a 50 fan but youve got to give credit where credit is due. Then you've got the man that made the beats that made artists famous, cheated death by a Fatal car accident, got signed to the biggest label in Hip-Hop, when Multiple Grammy's and a long list of nominees, and go Platnium in his first week on his 2nd album. I'm one of the biggest Kanye fans and honestly I think he's the best out right now. I think 50 may have bit off more than he could chew saying he would make no more solo albums if Ye sells more. With two hit singles in "Stronger" and "Can't tell me Nothing" 50 might as well throw in towel.
