Yeah, we know. By now, you’ve seen that Kanye West caught a bad one last night on South Park(Comedy Central). You’ve also read that watching the show was a humbling experience for Kanyeezy. Still, all gay fish jokes aside, we have a feeling Mr. West won’t be lending his voice to the long-running controversial cartoon anytime soon. He will, however, make a cameo appearance on FOX’s Family Guy spin-off Cleveland this fall. And just in case he needs some inspiration to help top last night’s appearance, VIBE gathered a list of the top 10 rappers to make the jump to animation.
10. Kid ‘N Play on Kid ‘N Play (NBC, 1990-1991)
The animation was pretty awful, but we do have to give dap to the pop-rap duo credit for being among the first rappers to get their own cartoon.
9. MC Hammer on Hammerman (ABC, 1991)
It’s the shoes. It’s gotta be the shoes.
8. Ghostface on The Boondocks (Cartoon Network, 2007)
Who knew the Wu-Tang Clan’s regal spitter moonlighted as Huey Freeman’s spiritual guide? A rap-fueled gem from creator Aaron McGruder.
7. Xzibit on The Boondocks (Cartoon Network, 2007)
This is true rap beef!
6. Ludacris on The Simpsons (Fox, 2007)
When you need to learn the importance of dental hygiene, you hit up Ludacrest, of course.
5. Lil Wayne on The Boondocks (Cartoon Network, 2007)
Apparently, Weezy is sick on the Xbox.
4. Andre 3000 on Class of 3000 (Cartoon Network, 2006-2007)
’Dre loves the kids!
3. 50 Cent on The Simpsons (FOX, 2004)
Hearing Bart call the G Unit mogul “Fiddy?” Awesome.
2. Busta Rhymes on The Boondocks (Cartoon Network, 2007)
Bussa Buss kicks game on how hate poisoning can kill a man. Wow.
1. Snoop Dogg on King of the Hill (Cartoon Network, 2001)
Snoop as a white, permed-out Texas pimp named Alabaster Jones? It’s as hilarious as it sounds.
