Today, Ciara’s long-awaited, oft-delayed third album, Fantasy Ride (LaFace/Zomba), finally drops in stores. So does Chrisette Michele’s stellar sophomore effort, Epiphany (Def Jam). Okay, okay, so it doesn’t exactly scream, “WHO’S GONNA SELL MORE?!?” like the much-ballyhooed Rick Ross vs. Asher Roth BUCK SHOT a couple weeks ago, but what can we say? We love a little competition at the VIBE.
So, here’s the deal: We passed around a piece of the office Tupperware again (no, really, we did) and 12 VIBE editors dropped a dollar into it in order to get the opportunity to guess how many units Ciara and Chrisette will move this week. The staff member who comes closest to guessing how many the two of them sell collectively takes the pot—and, of course, bragging rights from Editor-in-Large Rob Kenner, who won the Ross/Roth showdown.
