If you are tired of reading 3 to 4 books at a time to dissect the intricacies of the music industry, or in the market of looking for a book that will guide you through every calculated step of your journey to superstardom, is the answer.

The story has been told before: boy meets girl; boy tries to impress girl and is miraculously successful; boy gets girl; boy breaks girl’s heart; boy manages to get girl back by convincing her that he messed up; they live happily ever after by the time the credits start rolling. Despite this cliché fairytale that most teenage, pop-culture driven films revolve around these days, encompassing the element of dance adds an entertaining twist that anyone with rhythm can appreciate. Touchstone Pictures’ Step Up certainly adds that entertainment component, but still lacks in creativity and originality.

The fact that everybody and their momma is trying to get on the mic can make you forget that there is an art behind emceeing.
