Jill Scott plays Precious Ramotswe the lead character in HBO’s upcoming series The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Precious sells her late father’s cows and decides to move to the city to become Botswanas only female private detective. The cast also includes Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls), who plays Mma Makutsi, the fastest typing secretary in Gaborone. The series is based on the series of novels by Alexander McCall Smith.
