TMZ.com reports that R&B/Hip-Hop producer Teddy Riley is accused of violently attacking one of his daughters during an altercation on December 23. Riley, who has worked with artists like Kool Moe Dee, Heavy D & The Boyz, Bobby Brown, Keith Sweat, Michael Jackson and Madonna, is also credited with creating the “New Jack Swing” style of music in the 1990’s. He is accused of striking his 18-year-old daughter Taja Riley and her older sister in their Los Angeles home.

Nick Cannon has tapped “Hood State of The Union” hosts Lil Duval and Charlemagne Tha God, for their own MTV show appropriately called “Hatin.” “It’s like Wild ‘N Out meets Best Week Ever,” Charlemagne, a former radio personality for Philadelphia’s 100.3 The Beat told VIBE. “Hatin” is a spin-off of the comical webisode “Hood State of The Union,” which features Charlemagne and comedian Lil Duval bluntly commentating on urban entertainment.

Producer Scott Storch is expected to be a major player in the musical comeback of rapper Shyne, who was deported to his native Belize after over nine years of incarceration. Storch exclusively told AllHipHop.com of his plans to craft a new album for the former Bad Boy. "Yeah, Shyne's my man. I've been talking to him and I was talking to him all through his prison sentence. He's always remained a loyal person to me," he told AllHipHop.com.

Lil Wayne is closing in on an expected one-year sentence due to weapons possession charges. On Monday, the Grammy-winning rapper played what is being dubbed the first of several farewell shows in his hometown of New Orleans. Reportedly performing a number of his hits, including "Lollipop," the rapper bid farewell to the city where his career began. As previously reported, Lil Wayne struck a plea deal in a Manhattan courtroom that calls for a one-year sentence, set to begin in February.

Former Atlantic Records music executive Kevin Liles -- who now serves as Executive VP at Warner Music Group -- hinted at just that recently when he tweeted about a close friend making his way to the studio. According to GlobalGrind.com, Liles wrote this on his Twitter page (@KevinLiles1): "My right hand went home to visit family & found his way to the studio. He said 'why wait for 2010, get it in now' Love the attitude!" Was he talking about T.I.?

The controversy surrounding a possible mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao continues. Although Pac-Man has rejected Mayweather's request for Olympic-style drug testing, citing superstition, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has now announced that they're ordering both fighters to take immediate out-of-competition urine tests to be completed by Wednesday (December 30).

After verbal spats with Ice-T, and disses from Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy says he never took the Snoop “hating” personal. The rapper recently spoke to Real Talk NY about Snoop’s past unflattering comments about him, which were set off around June 2008 when Snoop found out about the Soulja Boy versus Ice-T battle after calling into Phoenix’s KKFR ‘Nutz in the Morning Show.' “Ice-T versus Soulja Boy?!” Snoop blurted. “I’m with Ice T,” he said.

Rapper Lupe Fiasco recently expressed his outrage in regards to a song being released to the public without his permission. The track "I'm Beaming" was leaked on Christmas Eve night by a unknown party. The rapper says that he has planned to pursue legal action to find out who leaked the track and to press charges against the individual(s) responsible, as the rapper has claimed the track to be stolen property.

With a recent digital release titled "The Lost Files," Jones says he's back and here to stay with plans for an independent debut in 2010. "I've had a lot of time to work on it and I know it's going to be one of those joints you can play from beginning to end," Jones tells Singersroom.
