Kurupt Paying for Natina Reed's Funeral And Services

Kurupt Paying for Natina Reed's Funeral And Services

VIBE Posted November 3, 2012

The funeral for the late Natina Reed will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3 in the singer's Lithonia, Ga. hometown and her baby daddy Kurupt is footing the costs.

The Blaque member was tragically killed on Oct. 26, two days before her 33rd birthday, in a hit-and-run accident that took place near Atlanta. The protégé of TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who died in a car accident in 2002, had appeared in the film Bring It On and released three albums with her R&B pop group during the Aughties. She is survived by her 10-year-old son, Tren Brown, who she fathered with "We Can Freak It" rapper Kurupt.

While Kurupt has had custody of Tren for the past four years, TMZ has learned that the rapper will handle the funds for Reed's funeral service and wake, and that he hopes his son maintains a close relationship with his late mother's family.

"Myself and Tren, would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this tragic time," Kurupt tweeted earlier in the week. "This is a tremendous loss to our family."

Reed's former Blaque members, TLC's Chilli and T-Boz, Big Boi, Daz and Snoop Dogg are all expected to be in attendance at the funeral today. No arrests have been made in the incident, yet.
