After Chilli and T-Boz announced that TLC will be back in the studio and on stage, the prospect of a Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes hologram making an appearance in their comeback tour may become a reality.
"The hologram is something we talked about and thought about years ago. Obviously timing is everything, but we're definitely talking about it," Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas tells the U.K.'s Metro. '‘It will be hard on us but I certainly think our fans would love to see it. We would definitely be the first group to ever do it."
The idea was inspired by the awe-inducing Tupac hologram that performed at Coachella. Though Chilli says it'd be painful to resurrect Left Eye through special effects, she's conscious of the fans that would appreciate the sight of her. "It will be hard on us, but I certainly think our fans would love to see it," she said. "I think we would probably pass out, and all of our fans would break down, but it's amazing how real the hologram looks. It's almost like you can touch the person."
Though details are yet to be released for their shows and VH1 biopic, TLC devotees can expect the same sound that the female group created in the '90s. "We're going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time," said T-Boz at the Mobo Awards in Liverpool "We've always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That's what works for us and we don't have to worry about anybody else."
