10 Other Rappers Gucci Mane Should Start Beefing With Right Now

Chris Yuscavage Posted November 9, 2012
Are you a rapper? Do people know your name? Are they also (somewhat) interested in your career? Then, Gucci Mane wants to beef with you!

After disappearing for most of 2012, Gucci Mane came out nowhere last month and started throwing shots at, well, everyone. From Young Jeezy and T.I. to Nas and French Montana to Yo Gotti and Nicki Minaj, Gucci went at more than half a dozen rappers (we didn't forget you, Yung Joc!) over the course of the last 30 days, many seemingly for no reason. And, you know what? It looked like one bad publicity stunt after another, but it worked! By the time he dropped his new mixtape, Trap God, everyone was talking about him again.

With that in mind, we have one simple question for Gucci Mane: Who's next? Seriously, this "beef with everybody" tactic seems to be working well for you right now. So, you might as well continue throwing shots at more rappers, regardless of whether or not you actually have a problem with them. If you need some help, we've put together a little cheat sheet for you. Here are the 10 Other Rappers Gucci Mane Should Start Beefing With Right Now*. Get on it, Gucci!

*For the record, we don't condone beef. But, if Gucci is gonna go ahead and beef with everyone anyway, he might as well be strategic about it!
The Rapper: Drake
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: First of all, if you beef with Drake—regardless of whether or not your beef is legitimate—everyone will pay attention. Secondly, Drake is an easy target. Even if you're a big fan of Drake and like his music, there's bound to be something you don't like about him (if all else fails, Degrassi jokes work best!). And, lastly, you'll eventually run into Drake somewhere, and what's Drake going to do to you? Throw his drink at you? No. He's going to give you a pound and patch things up. For better or worse, that's just how Drake rolls. And, you'll be all over the blogs the next day dapping Drake up. It's almost too easy.
The Rapper: Lil B
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: No one is dumb enough to think that a beef between Gucci Mane and Lil B is real. Okay, we take that back. There's someone out there dumb enough to buy it but, for the most part, people aren't going to see this beef as legit. That said, the Based God is a really polarizing guy. So, even if Gucci just does something like write, "I hate Lil B's music," on Twitter, half of the Internet will love him for it and the other half will hate him for it. But, either way, people will start talking about Gucci immediately.
The Rapper: Shyne
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: You know what hip-hop needs right now? Someone to tell Shyne to STFU and go away. Gucci, that someone could be you! You could be our hero! If you rid us all of Shyne and all his crappy opinions on music, we promise we'll download your next mixtape at 10:17 (AM or PM, your choice!) and post whatever R&B song you just tacked a verse onto last night in the studio. Just make Shyne stop!
The Rapper: Game
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: Game knows beef. He knows how to utilize it to his advantage. He knows how to use it to help sell records. Hell, you could make the argument that, without beef, Game would've "retired" about five years ago. So, if Gucci ever stepped to him, you better believe Game would have a song called "1017 Bars" ready to go within an hour. And, somehow, it'd be over an hour long! Amazing!
The Rapper: Soulja Boy
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: We know these two used to be tight, but so what? That hasn't stopped Gucci from beefing with someone before (see: French Montana, Yo Gotti, and Nicki Minaj). And, for whatever reason, Soulja has 5.3 million Twitter followers (who are they and why do they love following SB so much?!) so there would be plenty of publicity for him to gain from this.
The Rapper: Jay-Z
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: He already went at Nas. Why? Uhhhh….No clue. So, Gucci may as well add Jay to the list, too, so he doesn't feel left out.
The Rapper: Yung L.A.
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: Remember when Gucci got that ridiculous ice cream cone tattooed on his face? Shortly after that, T.I.'s former protege totally jacked Gooch's idea and tattooed a duck on his face. A duck! Up until now, Gucci hasn't really said anything about it (maybe it's because L.A. covered it up with a Dodgers "L.A." logo?). But, he needs to say something eventually. Now seems like the perfect time.
The Rapper: 2 Chainz
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: 2 Chainz has the kind of buzz that Gucci used to have prior to the release of his The State vs. Radric Davis album in 2009. So, if Gucci wants it back, he's going to have to take it. We're pretty sure 2 Chainz wouldn't want any part of this (he's got a lot of good things going for him right now) but, for Gucci, it's worth a shot.
The Rapper: DJ Khaled
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: Okay, okay, so we're stretching the definition of the word "rapper" here. But, yo: Why didn't Gucci make it onto that Kiss The Ring album this summer? Future made the cut. Kirko Bangz got a slot. Hell, even Khaled dropped some bars! We know Gucci can't be too happy that he didn't make it on there. Tell Khaled why you're mad, son!
The Rapper: Eminem
Why Gucci Should Start Beefing With Him: If all else fails—and we do mean "all else"—going at Em is a foolproof way of getting at least a little bit of buzz (it's even more effective than going at Drake or Jay-Z right now). And, considering Gucci already kinda went at Em on that Mariah Carey song, "Obsessed," a few years ago, these two already have some history. Just don't expect a response, Gooch. It's not coming.
