Poor Mitt Romney. First, he loses the presidential election, and now another embarrassment: His team accidentally posted his transition website, a placeholder that would have stayed up if Romney had been elected president.
The site was only up for a short time, but a blogger for Roll Call was able to grab screen shots before it was yanked down. The site debuted a new tagline for the former Governor - "Smaller, Simpler, Smarter" - as well as a positively presidential portrait.
Romney is quoted on the site as saying:
"I'm excited about our prospects as a nation. My priority is putting people back to work in America."
Hopefully, Romney still believes in that sentiment, as he'll watch from the sideline as President Obama tries to do the same.
