Mary J. Blige to Perform With The Rolling Stones

Mary J. Blige to Perform With The Rolling Stones

Camille Augustin Posted November 27, 2012

It looks like the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul is adding Rock N’ Roll to her musical takeover as Mary J. Blige joins the Rolling Stones on their “50 & Counting” tour. MJB is the only lady performing on the same stage as the iconic band during the four-stop tour.

Alongside frontman Mick Jagger, soul and rock fused together when they performed a powerhouse duet of “Gimmie Shelter” as the event kicked off at the O2 Arena in London Nov. 25. The “Satisfaction” band also plans to perform at the Barclays Center.

Other monumental guests such as famed guitarist Jeff Beck and former band members Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman are also gearing up their instruments for “their first appearance with the band in more than 20 years,” Rolling Stone reports
