1. Kendrick Lamar – "Higher Ground Freestyle"
Dope beat, but the freestyle could've sounded a little less "sleepy." Kendrick is a beast lyrically, so we won't hold this against him. You can tell K. Dot wasn't all-in on this playful freestyle.

2. Marsha Ambrosius – "Cold War"
Marsha seems to tackle R&B records with the aggressiveness of a rapper, which makes her music relatable on so many levels. On "Cold War," one thing you'll also notice is how on-point her vocals are. Great ballad overall.

3. Busta Rhymes – "Hail Mary (Remix)"
Of course it's dope hearing Busta still getting it, but this wasn't his most impressive freestyle. The rest of the song pretty much follows the same path as the original.

4. JoJo - "Andre"
This is a pretty straightforward contemporary R&B record by one of the genre's most talented, yet criminally ignored. Nonetheless, we're feeling the new direction of Jo's new material. Keep it pushing young homie.

5. Ducko McFli (feat. Dee Goodz) - "#WEWITIT"
This beat is the definition of going in. However, the overall song sounds way too similar to Freddie Gibb's banger "BFK." Aside from the potential bootleg, we're not mad at this.

6. Ilhame Paris (feat. Rapper Big Pooh) - "French Kiss"
"French Kiss" is something like an electro-soul love letter. The sound is a bit foreign to what's out there, but it works in Ilhame's favor.
