Justin Bieber's Manager Launches Attack On Grammy Snub

Justin Bieber’s manager is on the warpath against the Recording Academy. Scooter Braun took to Twitter earlier today to blast the 2013 Grammy Award announcements after the pop poster boy was shut out with zero nominations.

“This time there won't be any wise words, no excuses, I just plain DISAGREE," tweeted Braun of his in-demand client. “The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one.”

Bieber, whose third studio album Believe debuted at no. 1 and has sold 2 million copies since its June release, is currently an omnipresent fixture on mainstream radio, MTV and on the concert stage. But the Canadian performer got no love from music industry’s most influential voting block. The reason behind the snub is not exactly clear. Some observers may point to Bieber still being relegated to teen idol status, a pubescent genre that the Grammy’s historically have shown little regard for.

Whatever the reason, Braun is not buying it. “The hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving,” continued the music mogul who heads Schoolboy Records. “The kid delivered. Huge successful album, sold out tour, and won people over…this time he deserved to be recognized and I don't really have any kind nice positive things to say about a decision I don't agree with.”

It was the hope of Braun, Bieber and crew that Believe would open up the 18-year-old act to a more edgier and adult audience with featured collaborations with Nicki Minaj (“Beauty and a Beat”); Big Sean (“As Long As You Love Me”), Drake (“Right Here”) and even veteran songwriter Babyface (“Catching Feelings”).

But Bruan made it point to tell Bieber’s legion of fanatical followers to stay positive over the Grammy announcement.

“To his fans…looks like we get to stay the underdog a little longer," he tweeted, adding, "Life is long, with many ups and downs, but we get to keep going, everyday brings a new opportunity. NOTHING GREAT EVER CAME EASY.”
