Mark Halperin and John Heilemann are about to change the game again.

HBO announced that they will be back on the campaign trail in a new sequel based on the political journos’ upcoming book “Double Down: Game Change 2012,” MSN reports. It will be centered on the 2012 presidential election between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, a spokeswoman for the network told TheWrap.

The network also adapted Halperin and Hellemann’s book “Game Change,” about the 2008 election between Obama and John McCain, that starred Ed Harris as McCain and Julianne Moore as his running mate Sarah Palin.

The new book “will create the lasting story of the 2012 race for the presidency,” said publisher Penguin Press in a news release. It’s set to hit shelves in fall 2013.
