Charlamagne Tha God Discusses His Come-Up, Keys To Success And More with Montreality

Charlamagne Tha God Discusses His Come-Up, Keys To Success And More with Montreality

VIBE Posted December 12, 2012

Power 105.1's bad boy radio jock C Tha God chops it up with Montreality to discuss his success story.

Growing up in Monk's Corner, South Carolina, Charlamagne broke into the New York radio business after moving to the Big Apple and getting his big break from Wendy Williams. Despite the co-sign, his on-air career proved to be a rocky one after being fired four times and landing in jail on numerous occasions but he didn't let the bad faze him.

"That's what hinders us. You can't hold on to no hurt," he says. "Whether it's mental hurt, emotional hurt or spiritual hurt, you keep it movin' in your life, no matter what happens.

The gifted gabber of VIBE's 2012 Juice Crew also discusses his last meal of choice, favorite cartoon characters, what he could have been in a previous lifetime, and his reading list. Check out the extensive interview below.
