Here's a wild story from the land Down under. According to news reports, an unlucky surfer had part of hand bite off while he was in the water near the town of Port Macquarie in Australia.
The 29-year-old was surfing when he was attacked by what is believed to be a bull shark on Friday morning.
An Ambulance Service spokesperson, Michelle Hoctor, said the man was bitten on his right hand and leg, and had lost an index finger and a knuckle.
Nearby patrolled beaches were closed as a precaution, but a Surf Life Saving spokesperson, Donna Wishart, says shark attacks in the area are uncommon.
