Kobe Bryant Joins Twitter

Get ready for #MambaTweets. Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant joined Twitter this week, and the guard is already inching toward half a million followers.

It seems that @kobebryant was somehow available for the baller, and with his first tweet, Bryant racked up an impressive 36k retweets - that's a little more than a tweet per career point he's scored.

For a guy with such a wide ad portfolio, it was a little baffling that Kobe had yet to join the future. He has a pretty active Facebook account, but Twitter is a no brainer for most athletes.
