Alicia Keys to Sing National Anthem at Upcoming Super Bowl

Alicia Keys to Sing National Anthem at Upcoming Super Bowl

Iyana Robertson Posted January 18, 2013

As if Beyonce at halftime wasn't enough, the Super Bowl has reportedly added another superstar to their lineup.

According to the Associated Press, Alicia Keys will be performing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3 in New Orleans. The source disclosed the information anonymously, since the NFL has not officially announced her appearance. Once confirmed, Alicia Keys will join the company of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey as performers of the coveted game opener.

This news follows recent allegations that Beyonce will be joined onstage by her Destiny's Child group mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. The megastar's halftime performance will kick off her promotion partnership with Pepsi to push her upcoming fifth studio album. No title, release date or single has been divulged regarding Beyonce's next release.

Football fans will learn which teams will face off for the championship following the NFC and AFC championship games this Sunday (Jan. 20). The San Francisco 49ers will take on the the Atlanta Falcon and the Baltimore Ravens will face the New England Patriots.

Catch the Super Bowl on Feb. 3 on CBS at 6:30 EST.
