On paper the premise sounds like an intriguing celluloid proposition. O.G. thespian Al Pacino plays a morally bankrupt lawyer who just so happens be Lucifer himself, while the doe-eyed, law-practicing Keanu Reeves is his conflicted son who must resist temptation or else the world is doomed. Only one problem. Reeves’ inane southern accent quickly turns this dramatic supernatural legal thriller into a laugh-inducing farce.
