Michael Jackson (2005)
Charged With: Child molesting, attempted child molesting, conspiracy and eight counts of providing alcohol to minors
The Trial: The King of Pop, who had become close friends with Jordan Chandler, fell under media scrutiny when he was accused of child molestation after letting the 13-year-old boy sleep in his bed on multiple occasions. No real charges were brought to Jackson when he reached a settlement with Chandler of $15 million. But the accusations didn’t stop there. Mike found himself in another dispute in 2005. After befriending the Arvizo family, MJ was charged on four counts of molesting a minor, four counts of intoxicating a minor, and one account of attempted child molestation.
Outcome: On June 13, 2005, Michael Jackson was found not guilty on all 14 accounts, including conspiring to commit extortion and child abduction.
