The best part of any Super Bowl, aside from King Beyonce’s performance, is the debut of new commercials. This year, we heard a lot of grumblings about week ads during the game, so VIBE rounded up some of the most memorable, hilarious and downright awful commercials from Super Bowls past.

Google’s Parisian Love

Google doesn’t really need promotion—it’s GOOGLE after all—but when the search engine launched its first ad during the Super Bowl in 2010, it hit it out the park with this touching spot about an American finding love in Paris. Yes. A commercial about Google searches can make you cry.

Kim Kardashian for Sketchers

“You’re amazing. The best I’ve ever had,” purrs Kim Kardashian in her best actress voice, which actually sounds a lot like her normal voice. The awful acting and PG body shots were bad enough, but did people actually believe that a pair of sneakers would give them a Kardashian backside?

Ray Charles gave Diet Pepsi one heck of a catchy jingle in this 1991 commercial and “You got the right one baby, uh huh” became seared into our ears forever.
