Rudy Gay — Sacramento Kings
Many might find Rudy Gay making this list to be a shocker, but those in the know understand what’s up. Gay’s often been tapped by Nike to wear player exclusive cuts to promote the kicks you’d see in the local parks or rec centers, so he doesn’t always have the chance to break out his heat on dudes. But even his PE’s come in crazy colorways.

Rudy Gay is the most underrated NBA sneakerhead. You might think that sounds crazy but check this. Rudy’s been getting laced with exclusive colorways from Nike since he entered the league in 2006. Which means, he really hasn’t had the chance to break out his heat like he did back in his UCONN days. As a matter of fact, his UCONN days alone are enough to have the “new to the game” sneakerheads tucking their tails. Rudy may have laced up the occasional retro in his Memphis days but it’s his time with Toronto and Sacramento that have really allowed him to shine. But we’re not talking about just the latest Saturday releases, RG is on top of that but he’ll also pull out a pair of CDPs or OGs from college days like it’s nothing, so you might want to pay attention.
