Rajon Rondo, Kevin Love Bidding Wars
The Celtics made a drastic move this offseason, giving up Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry to Brooklyn for what seemed like draft picks from now until 2055. Even though they kept Rondo, he is now the team’s most valued trade assets. If the C’s are going to make a splash, they’ll have to give up their star guard. And no way they trade him for nothing.
Kevin Love might as well being playing in Siberia. If not for his knack of scoring 20 points and grabbing 20 rebounds in single games and his awesome off-court persona, he might get even less league wide love (no pun intended). Playing in a small market works for some superstars (Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Tim Duncan) but stars tend to want to test the waters by their second or third contract. With teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks rumored to be interested in the best big in the game, it’s going to be interesting to see which team’s jersey Love is in next season.
