3 Reasons Kanye West Has A Right To Be Upset About The 2013 Grammy Awards
Kanye West might not be making an appearance at the 2013 Grammy Awards next month. During a show in Atlantic City last weekend, he went on a short rant and criticized the Grammy voters for failing to nominate him for awards like "Album of the Year" and "Record of the Year" in recent years. And, he punctuated his rant by saying, "Don't expect to see me at the Grammys this year, nah mean?!" He also complained that, while he and his "Grammy Family" have won 18 Grammy awards total, all of them have come in the "black categories."
And, you know what? We can't really blame him for being upset. After all, Kanye made some really big moves in the world of music over the course of the last 18 months or so, and he probably hasn't received all the credit he deserves for making them. So, we put together a list of the 3 Reasons Kanye West Has A Right To Be Upset About The 2013 Grammy Awards. Do you agree with Kanye boycotting the biggest awards ceremony of the year?

Reason #1: "N****s In Paris" deserved a "Record of the Year" nomination last year.
Although the buzz surrounding it has died down in recent months, there's no denying that "N****s In Paris" was one of, if not the biggest rap record of 2012. Kanye and Jay-Z used to do shows and perform it a dozen times in a row. So, it definitely deserved some consideratio n for "Record of the Year" at the 2012 show.

Reason #2: Watch The Throne feels like it was completely overlooked last year.
Last year, WTT did get a "Rap Album of the Year" nomination. But, it failed to impress the Grammy voters enough to warrant a nomination for "Album of the Year." And, we're not really sure why. After all, it featured two of the biggest rappers of the last 20 years on the same record together and it was pretty damn good. We'd also say it was better than at least half of the albums that were actually nominated. So, Kanye had a legitimate beef.

Reason #3: Kanye has failed to win many of the "major" Grammy Awards in recent years.
You can only hand a guy like Kanye so many "Best Rap Album" and "Rap Song of the Year" awards before he loses it. In the grand scheme of things, Kanye wants to be known as one of the greatest musicians of his era. And, you don't get that praise and that acclaim if you don't capture multiple "Album of the Year" and "Record of the Year" nominations. So, we don't blame him for being upset right now. But, will he really skip the Grammy Awards? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
