The 5 Best Songs On Young Jeezy's New 'Its Tha World' Mixtape
We'll always have a soft spot in our hearts for Young Jeezy mixtapes. Although he didn't popularize the idea of putting out a mixtape to help build your buzz, the Snowman did take the world by storm back in 2005 with his amazing 'tape, Trap or Die. And, as a result, we've waited patiently by our laptops every single time that Jeezy has released a mixtape since then. From 2006's Can't Ban the Snowman and 2009's Trappin' Ain't Dead to 2010's The Last Laugh and 2011's The Real Is Back (and The Real Is Back 2!), Jeezy has put out a steady stream of free projects over the course of his career. Some have been great, others have been "eh." But, one thing is for sure: We've always paid very close attention to whatever Jeezy has released thanks to his track record.
With that in mind, it should come as no surprise to hear that we were excited about the new mixtape that Jeezy put out early last week. It's called Its Tha World, and it's…well, it's pretty good. While it doesn't have quite the impact of, say, Trap or Die (not that we were expecting it to), it does have some strong efforts from Jeezy. So, after sitting with it for a week, we decided to put together a list of The 5 Best Songs On Young Jeezy's New Its Tha World Mixtape. Even if you don't have time to bump the entire 'tape, these five songs need to be in regular rotation.

The Song: "Knob Broke" (prod. by Jahlil Beats)
Why We Love It: It doesn't take long for Jeezy to get the party started on Its Tha World. After dropping a few bars on the mixtape's low-key intro track, "El Jefe Intro," Jizzle gets turnt up on "Knob Broke." And, when we say turnt up, we mean turnt up as he utilizes a frenetic Jahlil Beats production to introduce us back into his crazy world.

The Song: "How It Feel," feat. Lodi (prod. by D Rich)
Why We Love It: Earlier this year, Jeezy was named the Senior Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records. But, don't get it twisted: Jeezy is still "hustling like a treadmill," as he says at the beginning of this song. If you're a fan of Jeezy's Thug Motivation 101-era rhymes, you'll be a fan of this.

The Song: "Get Right" (prod. by Black Metaphor)
Why We Love It: Although this song has been making the rounds on the 'net for a couple months now as the official "single" from the mixtape, we still can't get enough of Jeezy's latest anthem. On it, he sounds outright defiant at times and even questions those who aren't down with him anymore. "Now you ain't fuckin' with me, that's how you feel?" he asks. "Like I was ever fuckin' with you, get for real!" Jeezy easily could have saved this one for his next album.

The Song: "RIP," feat. 2 Chainz (prod. by DJ Mustard)
Why We Love It: There's nothing particularly groundbreaki ng about this song. It's Jeezy and 2 Chainz rapping about how they just "killed the club." But, you know what? We dare a DJ to throw this one on inside the club at 2 a.m. next Saturday night. It's one of those tracks that would set things off just before last call. Both artists killed it.

The Song: "Thank Me" (prod. by Lodi)
Why We Love It: Jeezy wants his respect. Better yet, he feels as though he deserves his respect. And, he takes it on the final full song on the mixtape. "You welcome, motherfucker s!" he yells as the song comes to a close before DJ Drama takes over. "We been feeding y'all for a decade now," he says. "You're welcome." Thanks, guys.
