Reason #1: Paris Hilton's first album, Paris, sold almost 200,000 copies in the U.S.
Believe it or not, Paris Hilton's debut actually sold pretty well. It didn't exactly shatter any records or top the Billboard charts when it was released. But it did do pretty respectable sales numbers and also featured several songs, including "Stars Are Blind" and "Nothing in This World," that landed on the charts both here and abroad. Of course, that was way back in 2006. But it's pretty clear that Paris can sell records. And thanks to her new deal with Cash Money, we're betting that she can sell some more. All she needs is one half-decent song and her partnership with Cash Money will be a success.
