5 Reasons Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy Should Stop Beefing Immediately
Not again. That's the first and only reaction that we had when we heard that Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy were beefing again after Gooch made an appearance on Power 105's The Breakfast Club last week and had some harsh words for his on-again, off-again foe.
"[Rick] Ross is a friend of mine," Gucci said, while promoting his new mixtape, Trap God. "Of course, Jeezy is not…I ain't got no respect for him."
Wait a second: He isn't your friend, Gucci? Since when?
After the long-standing beef that Gucci and Jeezy endured at the beginning of both of their respective careers, we don't expect them to ever be BFFs. But, we did think that, with some help from DJ Drama, they squashed their beef back in December 2009. So, what gives? Why the hell are they reigniting the beef?
We can't say for sure. But, we can say that we hope it doesn't last long. In fact, we hope it ends ASAP. And, to explain why, we put together a list of the 5 Reasons Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy Should Stop Beefing Immediately. It's time to end this thing once and for all, fellas.

Reason #1: The "beef" is clearly a publicity stunt on Gucci Mane's end.
If Trap God wasn't dropping soon, do you think that Gucci would be on the radio sending shots at Young Jeezy? Do you think he'd be releasing a diss track called "Truth" that includes bars aimed at Jeezy? Do you think we'd even be talking about him right now? No, no, and no. Because of that, it's clear that this "beef" is a PR stunt designed to bring more attention to Gucci's project. And, to be honest, it's a PR stunt that's working. But, this isn't the way for Gucci to get his name back into the spotlight for the long-term. It's a short-sighted move that won't help him for long. So, why even bother pursuing it any further?

Reason #2: No one is interested in hearing these two trade diss tracks.
We'll give Gucci Mane a little bit of credit here: His diss track, "The Truth," wasn't all that bad. But, it also wasn't terribly exciting, and we imagine that, if Jeezy puts out a record aimed at Gucci, it won't be all that exciting, either. Bottom line: These guys don't have a ton of ammo to throw at one another. And, any ammo that they do have was already used back in the day when they had beef. So, we're really not interested in hearing them trade songs back and forth that feature a lot of the same disses that we've already heard.

Reason #3: There's enough other beef going on in rap right now.
Rick Ross and Young Jeezy have something going on. 50 Cent and French Montana have been throwing shots back and forth. And, Fif and Gunplay are also engaged in some beef (although Gunplay's recent legal problems have put that on the back burner for now). So, we really don't need another beef right now. Hip-hop is trying to put out fires that are already going on, not add fuel to an old fire to get it going again. Enough is enough right now.

Reason #4: It makes both Gucci and Jeezy look like they need beef to stay relevant.
Gucci has a new mixtape dropping. Jeezy is still touring off the success of his last album, TM 103. And, it sounds like both of them are making money as a result of their projects. So, all a beef does is make them both look thirsty for the kind of attention that other rappers are getting right now. It's one reason we were glad to hear Jeezy say that he doesn't want to get involved in another beef with Gucci. But, we really hope he sticks to that plan.

Reason #5: A man died as a result of their last beef.
Let's not forget: The first time these two went at it, it got physical. Jeezy allegedly sent some goons to assault Gucci, things got out of hand, and Gucci ended up murdering one of Jeezy's affiliates. Just to reiterate, their beef has already resulted in a murder. So, why continue it if it doesn't really need to be continued? It's only going to end in bad things happening. And, for what? So these two can get a little extra shine? Is it really worth something tragic happening again? We don't think so. So, please, guys: Put an end to this now. Before it's too late…
