5 Reasons Kim and Kanye’s Baby Is a Good Thing

Kanye West saved the best for last for his fans at his final Revel Atlantic City show. He announced that his girlfriend Kim Kardashian was expecting their first child.

Cheering on in the crowd was a teary-eyed Kim and her mom Kris Jenner. If anyone ever doubted Yeezy’s word, Kim took to her blog this morning to confirm her 12-week pregnancy.

“It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby,” she wrote. “We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo”

1. They both have lost someone special.

Although these two live a lavish life, they’ve both lost a parent. The tragic death of Kanye’s mother, Donda West, in 2007 left him deeply depressed, and Kim lost her father Robert Kardashian in 2003 after his battle with esophageal cancer.

Their new blessing will give them both new meaning to life itself and how cherished it is.

2. They both have been unlucky in love.

Everyone has a past, and before these two found one another, things were looking pretty grim. Kim had Ray J, Reggie Bush and Kris Humphries while ‘Ye had Alexis Phifer, Amber Rose and other esteemed video vixens.

Although love hasn’t always been on their side, this baby will deepen their love for each other while giving them something to love and care for.
