Reason 4: Nicki doesn't force the whole Roman Zolanski-is-my-alter-ego thing.
Rappers performing as their alter egos is always a touchy subject. Eminem going all-out Slim Shady on Relapse? T.I. as T.I. and T.I.P. on T.I. vs. T.I.P.? Tyrese as Black Ty? (HA!) These ideas sound good on paper (well, except for that Black Ty idea...). But they don't always work out as well as we'd like. Nicki doesn't seem to be overdoing this Roman Zolanski character, though. In fact, her channeling Roman just seems to mean her rapping harder than she does regularly. And we're not mad at that. We're not mad at that at all.
