5 Things We Want To See During Beyonce's Super Bowl Halftime Show

5 Things We Want To See During Beyonce's Super Bowl Halftime Show

VIBE Posted February 1, 2013
February 3, 2013 is almost here. And, you know what that means, right? Nooooooo! We're not talking about Super Bowl XLVII, silly! We're talking about Beyonce's big halftime show during the Super Bowl. That's what everybody out there really wants to see, right?!

Okay, okay, so we're excited about the game, too. It's going to be crazy to see if Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens can pull out a win against Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers. But, we're also looking forward to seeing Beyonce pulls out in New Orleans during the big game's intermission. Specifically, there are 5 Things We Want To See During Beyonce's Super Bowl Halftime Show. From guests we'd like to see grace the stage to scandals we'd like to see Jay-Z's wife avoid, this is what we'll be watching for on Super Bowl Sunday.
1. A Destiny's Child reunion and at least three old Destiny's Child tracks.
C'mon, you know that this is going to happen, right? Like, is this the worst-kept secret in the world or what? For weeks now, the DC ladies have been downplaying a reunion. But, with their greatest-hits album hitting stores this week, it just wouldn't be right for Beyonce on Sunday to perform without Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Word is, they'll do "Bills, Bills, Bills," "Survivor," and "Nuclear." If that's true, we can't wait.
2. A guest appearance from someone other than Jay-Z.
We all know Jay is going to make an appearance. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest televised events in the world. So, if he doesn't take the stage with B, we would be shocked. But, we hope Hov isn't the only surprise guest (besides Destiny's Child!) to grace the stage. We've also been hearing that there's a chance that Justin Timberlake could make his way onto our TV screens on Sunday live from the Super Bowl to perform "Suit & Tie." Wouldn't that be something?
3. A series of outfits that are all sexier than this one.
It's not that Beyonce doesn't look great in this referee-themed get-up that was used as a promo for her performance on Sunday. It's just that, well, Beyonce could look good in just about anything. So, if we had to pick an outfit for her to wear, we wouldn't pick this one. We boo refs. We throw things at refs. We say things to refs that we wouldn't dare repeat here. So, we don't want to sit and look at B dressed up like a ref. Yuck! (we mean that in the nicest way possible, B!)
4. A lot of dancing. Like, lots and lots (AND LOTS!) of dancing.
We're pretty sure that we can say with full confidence that we will see lots of dancing from Beyonce. But, we bring this one up because it's been quite awhile since we've seen anyone dance on the Super Bowl stage. Well, we take that back. We did get Madonna last year and the Black Eyed Peas the year before that. So, let's just say that it's been awhile since we've seen anyone dance well on the Super Bowl stage. We hope to see plenty of it this year.
5. A lip-synching-free performance!
There are no doubt going to be some lip-synched parts of Beyonce's show. But, after all the fuss that everyone made when she allegedly lip-synched "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Presidential Inauguration last week, we really hope she does something—anything!—live when she takes the stage at the Super Bowl. Because, we really want to spend time talking about Beyonce's show after the performance is over, not her lip-synching.
