FSU Is The Better Offensive Team. No Debates.
There’s a reason Jameis Winston was able to become only the second freshman to win the Heisman ever. It’s the same reason he was able to throw for close to a record setting 4,000 yards this season: He’s got NFL level talent all around him on offense. Not to take anything away from the talented 20-year-old, but lets look at some of his teammates numbers. Three Seminole wide receivers, Kevin Benjamin, Kenny Shaw and Rashad Greene, each caught for upwards of 900 yards, with Greene leading the team at 981.
Seminole running back Devonta Freeman rushed for 943 yards and 13 touchdowns this season. Teammate Karlos Williams rushed for 723 yards and 11 TD’s. That kind of offensive versatility gives defensive coordinators more nightmares than the new Paranormal Activity movie. So far, no defense has been able to hold them under 37 points. Auburn will have a tough time becoming the first to outscore them.
