The 5 Toughest Lines In Diggy Simmons' J. Cole Diss Track, "Falls Down"
Earlier today, Diggy Simmons fired at J. Cole with some heavy artillery in the form of his grimey diss track, "Falls Down."
What makes the diss so interesting is that it's not only a pretty ill track, but we thought this beef was squashed months ago! Some of the lines Diggy spits are extremely personal—even comparing his relationship with his father, legendary Run DMC member Reverend Run, to the somewhat distant relationship Cole has with his own pops.
We decided to throw together some of the best, clever, and most "Oh shit!" lines from Diggy Simmon's J. Cole diss. This won't end well...

The Line:
“I guess I rattled you, Snaggle-Tooth.”
Why It Hurts:
Because honestly, who really wants their flaws put on blast like that? Raise of hands.....yeah, we thought so.
The Line:
“I thought ‘J’ stood for Jermaine, not Jet-Setter."
Why It Hurts:
Diggy took the "been a fan" approach here. Simply put, Young Simmons aimed to son the fuck out of Cole for constantly talking about him—much like his loyal "Jet-Setter" army/fan-base.
The Line:
“You used to have dreams of my big sister kissin’ ya/Now it’s nightmares of her little brother dissin’ ya.”
Why It Hurts:
The claim that started it all. J. Cole & Vanessa Simmons share the same alma mater (shoutout to John Jay!), but according to Cole they shared way more than that. Diggy's line here shuts down those rumors quick, claiming that Cole is strictly "dreaming" and that this diss track will be a "nightmare" for him. Big claims from a little dude.
The Line:
“Maybe you should sign with me instead of Mr. Carter/How you mad at me? I got a relationship with my father.”
Why It Hurts:
This is where shit gets personal. Rule number one in Hip-Hop beefs: Never bring family into the mix. Cole hasn't sugar-coated his slightly-absent relationship with his father—even dedicating a full verse to him on the deep Sideline Story album cut "Breakdown." Although Cole may have started it by referencing smashing Diggy's sister Vanessa, this may be the line that turns this beef extremely ugly.
The Line:
“Sneak disses and jabs, I don’t really see the benefit/But I guess you lame, and I’ll probably keep you relevant.”
Why It Hurts:
It's no secret that we haven't heard a lot of heat from J. Cole in a minute—especially from his impressive debut album. On here, Diggy tries to make it seem that Cole is using the younger MC to ignite his career. While we don't think Cole is anywhere near fizzling out of the rap game, a hefty rap beef does tend to get you in the headlines. Hopefully this doesn't get too out of hand.
