Who needs a “partridge in a pear tree” when you can have a “pair of Chloe shades and a diamond belly ring”? The ladies of Destiny’s Child were onto something while playing Santas in the toy store.
Christina Aguilera - “The Christmas Song”
Christina Aguilera blew us away with her version of the holiday classic “The Christmas Song.” As a kid, Christina says she grew up singing Christmas songs all year long, so it was only fitting that the video interspersed actual footage of a cute, young Christina during the holidays.
Boyz II Men - “Let It Snow”
Roasting marshmallows, playing chess by the roaring fireplace, all the while wearing oversized sweaters and of course, harmonizing. Boyz II Men had a ball with their lady loves in this smooth R&B number.
‘NSYNC - “Merry Christmas Happy Holidays”
Gary Coleman as an elf? ‘NSYNC as Santa? “Merry Christmas Happy Holidays” was a little cheesy even when it dropped back in 1998, but you can’t help but smile a little watching this blast from the past.
Vanessa Williams - “What Child Is This”
Vanessa Williams gave this Christmas staple her own jazzy spin and the black-and-white visual, sliced with everyday cityscapes, was all cool and mellow.
Run-DMC - “Christmas In Hollis”
“It was December 24th on Hollis Ave in the dark / When I seen a man chilling with his dog in the park.” Run-DMC’s “Christmas In Hollis” proved that even Santa’s little helpers loved rap. Make sure to peep the “ill reindeer.”
Mariah Carey - “All I Want For Christmas Is You”
All we want for Christmas….is Mariah’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Mariah combined the holidays and romance (or lack thereof) into a timeless ballad. Mariah was all kinds of cute in the video too, frolicking in the snow, petting reindeer and playing Santa’s little helper.
