Reason #3. There seems to be a legal battle attached to every hologram.
You can't simply create a hologram and then have it perform at your concert. You need to go through the proper channels and get certain clearances to make it happen. As a result, almost every hologram that has "performed"—from 2Pac to Eazy-E to Michael Jackson—has faced legal hurdles prior to the performance. In the case of MJ, there was speculation over whether or not the hologram would even perform due to an issue with a patent. Doesn't that just feel weird?
