The Video: "Hell Yeah," by dead prez
Why It Got Banned: Public Enemy isn't the only hip-hop group that's tried to use their videos to attack issues concerning race. dead prez tried it as well back in 2004 when they showed a white family getting carjacked in their video for "Hell Yeah."
Did It Deserve It? NO! Like the PE clip, we've seen worse than this on made-for-TV movies. It's not like dead prez was using violence for violence's sake. The carjacking was part of a larger visual and a larger message that MTV didn't bother to try and understand.
