Did It Deserve It? YES! Note to all artists: The use of flashing lights in your music video is probably not a good idea (Kanye just found this out last night when he was asked to scale back his "All of the Lights" video). What is MTV supposed to do in this situation—sit back and watch the lawsuits roll in once a couple of people complain about seizures triggered by a video? No. This is a great way to earn yourself an automatic ban.
