3. Suzie and Tasha Talk Tami’s Business
While “working out,” Suzie and Tasha discuss online rumors of Evelyn and Chad getting back together. The subject came up based on a photo of Evelyn and Chad holding hands floating around. In the next segment, Evelyn would go on to confirm that she was just picking up Chad’s daughter from school and it became a “thing” once fans caught them all in a restaurant together. Whatever. Anyway, Suzie, who’s pretty much been the voice of reason in the matter, thinks Evelyn can do so much better and find a man who loves her genuinely and will protect her at all times.
“I really don’t care if she gets mad at me. I don’t want to see someone I care about go through that,” Suzie explained. As messy and invasive as Suzie can be, sometimes one has to risk their friendship in order to prove just how good a friend one truly is. Everyone else is pushing Evelyn in the way of potential danger and Suzie is not having it. I don’t blame her. In the last segment of the show, Suzie aired her feelings directly with Evelyn. She offered a personal anecdote to Evelyn, revealing that her lisp is rooted in a man she was in a relationship with dislocating her jaw. In response, Evelyn asked whether or not she still wanted to have some level of communication with him. Suzie said yes…until she ended up in the emergency room.
On another note, are we going to be talking about Evelyn and Chad the entire season? Is there no one on this show who can talk about anything remotely related to basketball? Just kidding, y’all. I gave up on that by the third episode of season two. Still, while I feel for Evelyn and her situation, producers are running this story arc into the ground and it’s only episode four. Did the other women not give you any decent footage to use to supplant this already way too dominant narrative?
