The Rapper: Tony Yayo
The Post-Prison Rap Release: 2005's Thoughts of a Predicate Felon
Did Jail Help or Hurt? HELP! Truth be told, there's no good time to go to jail, but Tony Yayo found an ideal time. During his 2003-04 imprisonment, 50 Cent heated up the streets with his debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin', and G-Unit released their first album, Beg For Mercy. That gave Yayo the chance to step right into the mix in 2004 and release his own debut shortly after.
