Last night (Feb. 12) was a star-studded event, as friends and fam of Beyoncé gathered for the New York premiere of the pop queen's upcoming HBO documentary, Life Is But A Dream. Quiet under the public eye, King Bey will finally let cameras in for an intimate glimpse of her life.
"I felt like it was time. I felt like after 16 years of being a singer, people didn’t know who I was, which was conscious," she explained. "I feel like mystique is very important and I will always keep certain things to myself, because it’s only natural. I felt like I had a story to tell and hopefully some people to inspire."
Beyoncé also sat with Oprah for a Q&A airing on OWN's Next Chapter this Saturday. Stars in attendance included Bey's baby sis Solange, Jay-Z (of course), Chris Rock, Angela Bassett and Tyson Beckford. Click for a photo recap of the event.
