5. President Obama
The President visited the people of Newtown, CT for an interfaith vigil in honor of the 26 people killed in Friday. In a emotional speech, Obama alluded to his administration working on a change of policy to stop gun violence, and ensured the families and friends of the victims that they were not mourning alone. "I am very mindful that mere words cannot reach the depths of your sorrow, nor can they heal your wounded hearts. I can only hope it helps for you to know that you are not alone in your grief," he said. "That our world too has been torn apart, that all across this land of ours we have wept with you, we've pulled our children tight." President Obama then read off the names of each victim, as the crowd sobbed with every mention.
