Designer Clothing Brands That Ruled The ’90s

Designer Clothing Brands That Ruled The ’90s

Krystal Holmes Posted November 28, 2012
History proves time and time again that fashion repeats itself. High-waisted jeans, overalls, printed pants and a variety of other trends have recently made a comeback among youth.

Unforgettable brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Fubu and Karl Kani made us fall in love with the endless possibilities of fashion. These brands that made it cool to look identical to your favorite celebrity will always be remembered.

Although these labels that ruled the '90s are no longer in the forefront, Vixen pays homage to the 15 fashion lines that stamped the era of cool.

Tommy Hilfiger

Everyone from Snoop Dogg to Aaliyah wore Tommy and influenced their fans to cop the threads. You weren't cool if you didn't have that signature red, white and blue logo when you were headed out to hang with friends.
Fubu

Before YOLO, "For Us By Us" was the motto. Founded by Daymond John, the collection consisted of something for everyone. T-Shirts, hats, jeans and sneakers catered to the African American demo that took the '90s era by storm.
Enyce

This hip-hop fashion label capitalized a great deal with its street wear line. Jeans and sweatsuits made the collection a must-have for the everyday school student.

It didn't hurt that campaign ads featured the hottest celebs like Charli Baltimore.
Mecca USA

Denim and embellished shirts made Mecca USA a staple in the urban fashion world. Men, women and children got to rock some of the hottest designs worn by legends like Chuck D and his squad.
Nautica

Since 1994, Nautica has been creating trendsetting clothing for men. Hoodies and bomber jackets made rappers and even that popular boy in school look like a million bucks.

Read on for 10 more brands that dominated the '90s.
