Ellen Allien
Berlin-bas ed Ellen Allien (Ellen Fraatz) established herself in the early ‘90s with residencies at the Bunker and Tresor clubs, a radio show and her fist label, Braincandy. Since 1999, she’s run BPitch Control, home to minimal techno heavyweights like Sascha Funke and Apparat. In addition to running a label, recording music, and DJing extensively, Allien moonlights as a casual fashion designer.

Kim Ann Foxman
New York’s Kim Ann Foxman grew up in Hawaii, wanting to be Ya Kid K from Technotronic . After a stop in San Francisco, she landed in NYC and became part of DFA Records’ post disco group Hercules and Love Affair. On her own, she has built an underground following through her remixing work and DJ sets, both heavy on deep, acid house grooves.

British-Japanese Maya Jane Coles plays futuristic house under her own name and dubstep as Nocturnal Sunshine. She is also half of dub act She Is Danger with Lena Cullen. Coles has won industry praise from Mixmag, Resident Advisor, Beatport and VIBE here and here. Capping off her cachet, she’s recorded an Essential Mix for BBC and a DJ Kicks set for K7!’s hallowed series.

California-based Colette Marino came up in Chicago’s early 90’s house scene, playing at clubs like Smart bar. She was part of SuperJane along with DJ Heather, DJ Dayota and Lady D. Colette set herself apart by singing over her DJ sets, and producing albums as an artist. In the early 2000s, she hosted the radio show “Maximum Rotation” produced at L.A.’s KIIS-FM. She’s successfully licensed her music to Motorola and funny flick, “The Devil Wears Prada.” Like fellow Chicago ex-pat Mark Farina, she landed at San Francisco’s OM records.

She founded the labels Propa Talent and Impropa Talent, and has successfully produced music for the Wii gaming system and the movies "Mission Impossible" and "Run Lola Run."
