Sighing and guffawing is allowed, as the first set pictures from the Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have hit the web.
The images show fans what they should expect from one of their human stars, Megan Fox, who plays newswoman April O'Neil. It seems that she's reporting on a health story while jumping on a trampoline, so obviously she's a serious investigative reporter. There's no word yet on if Fox will don the iconic yellow jumpsuit at any point in the film.
Interestingly enough, mum was the word about co-star Will Arnett, who was also spotted filming the scene alongside Fox. His role had previously been unknown, however a keen eye zoomed in close on a photo of the actor, revealing he was playing a character named Vernon Fenwick.
Fenwick, a staple character from the 1980s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series, is anxious to be a reporter himself, and is constantly trying to steal O'Neil's shine. Bay has recanted his earlier comments that the heroes in a half-shell would have an alien origin, which severely angered fans, and says he thinks fans of the franchise will be happy with how the movie is turning out.
