With principal photography on the fourth Transformers on the way (beginning Thursday), these new images featuring the Autobots should get fans hyped.
Set in the Monument Valley, JoBlo, who seems to have immense luck with scooping content for Transformers, notes that the two new robots-in-disguise (pictured on page two) are Drift and Slingshot, respectively. It remains to be seen how much these characters will have in common with their first-gen counterparts, but they certainly look sleek and impressive.
Paramount let these two images of new characters from the film onto the web. Faces, arms, weapons and all that extra CGI stuff are all safely tucked away, keeping Drift and Slingshot relatively discreet in "car mode."
Slingshot, a special race-inspired C7 Corvette Stingray, is based on Chevrolet's upcoming 2014 production car. Meanwhile, Drift is a 1,200-horsepower Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse, worth over a whopping $2.4 million.
With TJ Miller joining Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer on the ride, we'll all have to dream about waking up in a new Bugatti when Transformers 4 opens June 2014.
