Her Opponent: Parents Television Council (take two!)
Why They Were Beefing: Did the PTC just hear about Rihanna or something? Whatever the case, she's clearly got their attention right now as they also lodged a complaint about Rih-Rih's new "Man Down" video last week. They called it "an inexcusable, shock-only, shoot-and-kill theme song." And they called for it to be pulled from TV so that children couldn't see it.
The Result: The PTC clearly hasn't been the only group upset about the visuals shown in the "Man Down" video. But Rih-Rih shot back (no pun intended) at them shortly after they complained by calling into BET's 106 & Park to explain her vision more clearly. "Rape is, unfortunately, happening all over the world and right in our own homes," she said. "And we continue to cover it up...[Young female fans] are empowered by this. This is a story for them. It's not for critics." Good point.
