Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
For nearly two-decades, Kobe’s been one of basketball’s marquee players. And he’s also been the poster child for controversy for almost just as long. From the now infamous, career changing air balls in 1997 against the Utah Jazz, to solely outscoring the Dallas Mavericks 62-61 (remember, Kobe outscored a team by himself in three quarters) in 2005, the Black Mamba’s been a central hub of hate.
He may be a king in L.A., and fans do seem to revel in his on-court feats, but the now 35-year-old veteran faces backlash from fans for things like forcing shaq to Miami, being “too much like MJ,” and for the incident in Colorado.
