At least you didn't have to do the upside-down kiss with Franco!
There were scenes in This Is The End that were uncomfortable, even for the audience. You could tell they didn't know whether to laugh or to be shocked by what they were watching. Was that Seth, Evan, Jay and the gang's purpose?
You know Seth and Evan, they were lead writers for Pineapple Express, and they are great at mixing things up. Taking different genres and mish-mashing them up to create something dynamically new. They'll throw comedy at you, but with a dash of horror and fright that is supposed to make you shocked and scared. They're great at doing that stuff, man, and so that's exactly the right reaction the audience should have.
If there was anything that didn't make the final cut, that you'd like to have personally included on the DVD, what would it be?
[Laughs] I think I, and the audience, would enjoy a kissing scene with me and Rihanna. That would've been cool for me to see, rehearse, practice, and all that. Me and Rihanna [laughs]. Or maybe, she falls into my arms and I save her from harm and we just go off into the sunset together. That would have been fine!
The imaginary sequel scene is sure to spark discussion on what other projects you'd like to tackle with your comedic gang. If there were any other films you would like to make what would it be?
Maybe me and Seth can do a sequel to Silver Streak, the film that starred Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder.
