Kat Calvin and Amanda Spann wear their nerd badge on their sleeves. Determined to change the demographics of tech, the dynamic digital duo behind the web entity Blerdology (formerly known as Black Girls Hack) push what they call “the science of black nerds.”

The Blerdology site serves as a cyber space for people of color interested in science, technology, engineering, video games, math and pop culture. And much like its distant cousins Black Girls Code, Black Girl Nerdsand She Geeks, Blerdology is diversifying the tech sector, one click at a time.

Here, VIBE speaks with the women behind Blerdology about their web influence, the Tanning of America, and the launch of #BlackHack Hollywood.
