The NBA All-Star weekend is here and for the first time since 2005, the Los Angeles Lakers don’t look like they’ll be in the playoff picture. Attribute it to what you want: player movement, injuries, coaching changes. For some reason, the Lakers aren’t the team ticking in Tinsel Town. But there have been some bright spots this season. Newly acquired point guard Kendall Marshall might be the best playmaker in a Purple & Gold uniform since the days of Magic Johnson. Swingman Wesley Johnson is having a career year and Chris Kaman is... well Kaman is getting a lot of rest.
Since Laker leader, Kobe Bryant was once again sidelined with a knee injury after returning from a career threatening achilles injury, L.A. native Nick Young has filled his shoes both literally and figuratively for the franchise. Recovering from his own knee injury (one that he should be back from within the next two weeks), Swaggy P took time to talk with us about life as a Laker, his incredible kick game and, just in time for Valentines Day, his love life.—@LowerEastScibe
