Since Kobe’s out, you’ve been the fan favorite. What are some of the perks of being the new crowned prince of L.A.?
Aww man, it’s been crazy and fun. Besides the losing, it’s amazing. Playing in front of my hometown fans who’ve watched me since I was young and having the fans embrace the Swaggy P movement, it’s cool. I get home cooked meals and get to be myself on the court.
That’s dope. I know you’re loving it in L.A. but you had a crazy moment against Phoenix before you got injured. You didn’t shy away from publicly expressing how you felt when you’re teammates didn’t help you out in your little scuffle, so what was that conversation like in the locker room after the game?
I can’t tell you that man (laughs). It was a little hectic. We straightened it out though.
Your fan base has grown a lot since you’ve joined the Lakers, especially with the ladies. How do you feel being a little bit of a sex symbol now?
Ha! You don’t have to say a little bit. (Laughs) I am a sex symbol. The ladies love me and I love them back. This is the real Swaggy P. I always knew I was one but now the world is embracing it.
That’s a real Swaggy P answer, bruh (laughs). I’m usually not one to ask, but the ladies do want to know: Are you officially off the market and still dating Iggy Azalea
Man, you know we got a little thing going on. We working on something. I mean I don’t wanna disappoint the ladies but yeah.
